Artisan Group’s nationwide sale, which Duracite Custom Countertops proudly participated in, raised $32,000 for the charity Homes for Our Troops. The charity builds specially adapted homes to help wounded veterans. Pictured above you will see Artisan Group’s, Chad Seiders presenting the $32,000 donation to Marine Corporal Neil Frustaglio. Neil is a Homes for our Troops Representative and Marine who recently received a home from the charity.
“These marines have given their blood, sweat, tears and in some cases part of themselves to defend our rights and freedoms in this country,” says Chad Seiders, Artisan Group Executive Director. “It is a privilege to give something back to them.”

Homes for Our Troops is a national non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization strongly committed to helping those who have selflessly given to our country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries since September 11, 2001. They assist severely injured servicemen and servicewomen and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and to coordinate the process of building a home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently.
The third-quarter, 2011 Kitchen and Bath Market Report from the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) was released this month revealing some encouraging news. The results indicated a rise in showroom traffic and an increase in kitchen remodels from one year ago. Bathroom remodels have declined since the second quarter but results show an overall increase from last year.
NKBA’s survey of NKBA dealers offers a promising outlook for fabricators in the coming year. It can only be predicted that kitchen and bath remodels will continue to prevail as the housing market struggles back to its feet. It’s common knowledge that homeowners are turning to home improvement rather than moving into a new home. It’s a perfect time for this industry to continually pursue new prospects and to get their name out there while the focus is on remodeling!

So, from time to time we’d like to share with you recent testimonials from our satisfied customers! Today’s story is about a couple who purchased an Artisan Granite kitchen countertop. Their color choice was the dynamic “Mascarello”. As our fellow blogging fabricators, “The Granite Gurus” say, “It’s a granite color that has a lot going on. It will definitely be the focal point of your room, so make sure you don’t have too much going on with your backsplash, flooring, etc.” Nevertheless, it’s a stunning top, complete with an Ogee Edge and Kohler sink adding just the right touch and “bold look”.

My wife spent months looking at material for counter tops to replace what we had in our kitchen before deciding to go with granite. She says she has learned more about “rocks” than she ever wanted or needed to know. She spoke with many companies that tried to rush her into a decision, then learning they didn’t tell her everything honestly. She found Duracite from a pamphlet while leaving Costco. She then spent several weeks deciding the ideal color of granite to use and even more time deciding which slabs.
We waited, anxiously, for the granite to be cut (would you believe Karen went herself just before it was cut to show them which parts of the slab were her favorite) and installed, and now are extremely pleased with the result. The two workmen arrived in a timely manner; they were professional with the entire job, taking care not to damage other parts of our home, especially our hardwood floor. They were neat, courteous, efficient, and cleaned up after the installation, and left us a beautiful kitchen. My wife looked at me in disbelief as she asked me if I noticed they even cleaned the granite they just installed.
We will be sure to recommend to others, looking for granite, to use DURACITE. Also, if possible, woudl hire these two men for any other project I needed done.
